Regional Sales Consultant

The Regional Sales Consultant (RSC) will support Giatec’s goals and objectives by building business relationships with new and existing customers in the designated markets. This role develops sales leads, onboards new customers and is responsible to nurture and grow these accounts within the region. The Regional Sales Consultant will be a home-office based position, but the candidate is expected to be front facing and visiting with prospects and customers frequently. Giatec is looking for representatives who are currently selling to contractors/project managers etc., and who find Giatec complimentary to their line card.

It is expected that candidates for the (RSC) would already be selling other construction products to contractors in the construction industry. Giatec Scientific products would be complimentary to their existing catalog of products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Attains and demonstrates a working knowledge and competency on concrete, cement and related products and services to the construction market.
  • Fulfill a wide range of requests for information from current and prospective clients; qualify the type of opportunity and appropriate sales approach required.
  • Use knowledge of industry, technology, processes, and consultative sales skills to assess and educate customers on the value of our business, technical and implementation expertise.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of clients business priorities, challenges and initiatives that can be translated into Giatec solution opportunities.
  • Compiles a catalog of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet searches, newspapers and other sources.
  • Travels consistently throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers and pursues orders or talks with customers by phone.
  • Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as required.
  • Attend regional trade shows when directed.
  • Assess and report on regional performance to meet or exceed sales plans and goals.
  • Utilize strategic selling principles and continuous improvement methods to grow revenue and profits while delivering value to our customers.
  • Successfully and consistently achieve sales goals/quotas.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is both encouraged and expected.
  • Adhere to company policies and programs.
  • Use of modern approach to sales and sales operations a must.
  • CRM knowledge and rigorous use viewed as a necessity not a burden.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Capable of understanding and leveraging industry/market trends and basic business/finance concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate data, develop a sales plan, and accurately forecast results.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the sale or marketing of solutions - products and services, related to the construction industry.
  • Ability to quickly establish and build relationships founded on trust.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills are a must in the official language of the designated region.
  • A strategic perspective with an ability to manage the details.
  • Capable of communicating technical and business concepts.
  • Accountable and in possession of a huge sense of urgency to get things done.
  • Degree or diploma in a business-related field is an asset.
  • Applicants with experience selling to the construction/concrete industry is an asset.
