Electrical Engineer


We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team! We design and develop a wide range of electronic devices and sensors for concrete testing. Utilizing knowledge-based methods and solutions at the core of these technologies, Giatec is revolutionizing the concrete industry. 

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the preparation and review of product design requirements
  • Circuit design, component selection and PCB layout to support the development of new products that meet the design requirements
  • Support the prototype design phase with assembly and debugging of the prototype, preparation of test procedures and design calculations
  • Support the preparation and review of various project related documents including; user manuals, assembling instructions, technical design descriptions, qualification reports and analysis
  • Assist in planning and ordering material, components for manufacturing products
  • Assist in inspection, testing, adjusting and evaluation of incoming electrical, Electro-mechanical and electronic components and assemblies to ensure conformance with product specifications and tolerances
  • Assemble products according to instructions
  • Conduct life tests (burn-ins) on assemblies and record and analyze results
  • Calibrate electrical or electronic equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions
  • Carry out applied research under the direction of scientists or engineers
  • Collect and compile operational data and assist in the preparation of estimates, schedules, budgets, specifications and reports
  • Provide technical support to customers, repair products and generate reports
  • Perform other duties as required

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 1 year of related experience
  • Good knowledge of C and C++ programming
  • Experienced in firmware programming
  • Experienced and good understanding of communication protocols (I2C, UART, SPI)
  • Experience in design Analogue/Digital electronic circuit
  • Excellent soldering skills
  • Experience with Schematic and Layout design software preferably Altium Designer
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;                          
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
